Heterogeneous content with hyperdense areas is seen in the right maxillary sinus (arrow). Intraoperative data for this patient revealed a polyp and no evidence of a fungal process. Hence, hyperdense inclusions in the structure, which are considered to be pathognomonic for a fungal character, may indicate an unchanged polyp due to its high protein content.
