Rambam Maimonides Medical Journal (RMMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, Open Access medical journal committed to making high-quality medical and scientific research freely available worldwide.
RMMJ charges no submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), publication fees, or subscription fees. Authors can publish without paying, and readers anywhere in the world can immediately access the Journal's content without charge.
Maintaining this model requires support.
RMMJ reaches a substantial and truly international readership. Over its history, the Journal has reached readers in more than 200 countries and territories. During the three complete annual periods from July 2023 through June 2026, its articles received more than 56,000 full-content accesses, in addition to more than 41,000 abstract views. Extended tracking of article PDF downloads through August 2026 recorded downloads from 167 countries and territories, with more than 90% originating outside Israel.
The Journal's scientific standing has also continued to strengthen. RMMJ has a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 2.0 and is ranked Q2 in Medicine, General & Internal. Its 2025 CiteScore is 2.8, and it is indexed in major international scholarly databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and the Directory of Open Access Journals, and is included in Clarivate's Journal Citation Reports.
Published articles remain freely accessible and continue to be discovered and read years after publication. Supporting RMMJ therefore helps sustain not only the publication of current research, but its long-term availability to physicians, scientists, students, and other readers around the world.
