Information for Reviewers

For many, peer review seems like a thankless task. However, it is critical for assuring publication of manuscripts that will make a positive contribution to the medical and scientific community. Rambam Maimonides Medical Journal relies on peer reviews to help us determine the quality and usefulness of manuscripts submitted to us for publication.

A good review will help our editors assess the relevance and originality of the manuscript, as well as the appropriateness of the paper for publication in our international journal. It will also constructively critique the manuscript and help the author(s) to improve the quality of their paper. You will be asked to grade the paper based on scientific merit, originality, importance, readership interest, and overall quality. Space is provided for confidential comments to the Editor, as well as specific comments to the author.

While you, as a Reviewer, will know the identity of the authors, Rambam Maimonides Medical Journal does not reveal the identity of the Reviewer to the authors.
