The Maimonides Best Published Original Research Prize was established to promote publication of excellent scientific medical research. A prize of US$1,000 is awarded to the first author of the best original research paper published in Rambam Maimonides Medical Journal for the previous year.
We are pleased to advise that at the recommendation of the RMMJ Original Research Publication Committee, the first author of the manuscript entitled “A Population-based Study of Peripartum Cardiomyopathy in Southern Israel: Are Bedouin Women a New High-risk Group?” has been awarded the Maimonides Best Published Original Research Prize for 2018. Although the monetary prize of US$1,000 is awarded to the first author, this is a prestigious recognition of original research for all authors: first author Louise Kezerle, and co-authors Iftach Sagy, Leah Shalev, Offer Erez, and Leonid Barski.
The award ceremony will be announced in due course.
